A very sad and raw book of what being executed by the guillotine was like. I would've loved to know more about the man and what crime he committed.

I found the introduction to be much more engaging than the rest of the book. In part, because I found many of the thoughts superfluous and partly because it lacked logical rigor.

The introduction is easily worth 5 stars whereas the rest is a not super moving read.

Come tutto quello che scrive Hugo è una poesia! Mi ha ricordato moltissimo la storia di Jean Valjean e ovviamente ora ho voglia di rileggere i Miserabili. Un libro brevissimo, ma estremamente toccante.
Non penso ci siano libri necessari, ma "L'ultimo giorno di un condannato a morte" è un libro che TUTTI dovrebbero leggere.
