I really enjoyed this. I think the Guardians are finding its groove with this iteration. I find it how hilarious how most of the characters would play coy about naming a certain someone even though she graces the cover.
Anyways, this rescue mission fails enough times to count as a realistic Guardians adventure and they win as they always do in the end.
I've always liked the continuing relationship of Kitty Pryde and Peter Quill and look forward as this keeps evolving.
Additionally, newer Guardians players (Thing and Venom) prove themselves as solid teammates in this volume and I can't wait to keep reading this series.

Panel to panel, great pacing and dialogue. Fantastically expressive artwork.
There’s a lot going on.
Loved it.

wasn't going to change the world but it's enjoyable for what it is
Bendis does such a great job with these characters. I wasn't positive his take on the Guardians would work but I am enjoying this. Peter and Kitty's relationship is adorable and I could probably read just them. Here, he couples up the Guardians to handle a rescue mission and it was fun. The entire team got time to shine. Schiti's art was dynamic and fun. Overall, a fun team book with a lot of potential.

This has Groot AND Kitty Pryde in it. Why did you bother asking me to rate it?
A great big shoot-em-up. Well with some commentary on how often Kitty Pryde's costumes are. Not actually bad - it read pretty well - though I don't think this caught Kitty's voice. And her killing the Badoon the way she did was also out of character. But really this book wasn't bad. It just wasn't very interesting.
