Much less historical fiction than I expected. I did not like the protagonist. I did not care for the protagonist and the plot had only the smallest basis in reality. At its core this book was more about revenge than survival. A true disappointment.

This was an emotionally tough read, but so captivating that I couldn't put it down. I cried and cheered. This is my favorite historical fiction story that I've read.
I listened to the Goddess of Warsaw on audio. BRAVO to the narrator and author. I’ve always been a fan to WWII historical fiction, but haven’t read many books in this genre lately. The protagonist is a Jewish actress who uses everything in her power to survive the Holocaust, and help as many as she can. Well-researched and wonderfully written.
