Astounding. 
Out of the 100+ books I’ve read so far in 2024, this & ‘Code Name Hélène’ by Ariel Lawhon remain miles above all else, even the other 5-star ratings I’ve given. 
This is the *best* book I’ve read in a very long time. 
Highly recommend!!

Very hard book to listen to, it's well written but it was full of triggers for me. As the author said in her author's note at the end of the audiobook today's events are too close to past events and me living in Israel a lot of scenes were triggers for me.

It's a must-read book to keep remembering the past and never forget or forgive!

Wow...I read a lot of historical fiction, and a lot of WW2 HF, but this one kept me enthralled from the beginning. The resilience of the FMC is quite remarkable. Her story is complex and heartbreaking. This book was very well written and researched.

A fascinating story of an actress looking back at her life and finally sharing the true story of her history. The insight into Warsaw during the war was incredible.

Wow!  There were some sudden twists here - found myself sitting with my mouth hanging open a couple of times!  Not your ususal WW II/Warsaw Ghetto historical fiction!!
