4.25 stars. Another winner by Louise, really enjoyed this one and it feels like the series (hopefully) continues to get better and better. The audio had a lovely interview at the end too.

Completely captivated by the way this was written. I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next. Loved the story until the end. That just didn't quite work for me. This may have been a tough one to tie all together and I was not satisfied with the way it was done. I really like Gamache and will still be interested to see what happens in the next book and how he bounces back

Listen, if you aren’t reading the Inspector Gamache books, you should be. Yes, they are murder mysteries. And, they are not murder mysteries. The first few books are good, but she’s just getting warmed up. This is the THIRTEENTH book and I finished it in absolute tears but also warmed to my bones. These are books about people, good people and good food. The character development over thirteen books is insane. Louise Penny is joining the ranks of my favorite authors.

Infuriatingly good. The premise is a bit preposterous but the writing is amazing
