i remember reading this back in early high school, but i DNFed it because of how disturbing it was. i still thought the writing was fantastic. read this again in a day and now, i can say that this is one of those king books with no supernatural elements, while mental health is considered a main topic, which he has drawn out really well. i don’t see anything wrong with this book, since it speaks the truth, but the whole world is a lie anyway…

Genuinely could not put this down was not what I expected going into it but one of the best stories I’ve read in a while, it was compelling and had moments that kept you on the edge of your seat and ended in a satisfying fashion.
