This book was a cozy delight. Mika Moon was an utterly charming, flawed, funny and loveable protagonist and the whole cast of characters who populated this book were lovely. I had the best time reading this and will be rereading it from time to time for sure. Completely wonderful.

Sweet, cozy, witchy vibes. Slightly slow paced for me. I love Mika and her little potions, she grew as a character and certainly stood up for herself by the end. The three little witches were intriguing but felt a bit at arm’s length. The ‘romance’ between Mika and Jamie felt slightly forced and lacklustre. I don’t think there needed to be a romance in this book.

This was just simply a really solid read. Perfect fall, cozy, witchy vibes.
It is lighthearted, but the writing is actually great! Sometimes with more laidback books the writing can be very flat, but that was not the case with this one.
My heart was captured by all the characters!
I didn’t like the spicy scene, but the rest of the romance was perfect for me! (Points for it being only like three pages, so it could easily be skipped if you wanted)

This was marketed as a “cozy fantasy” which translates to low stakes drama and quickly resolved issues. Every plot twist was fixed within a few chapters and wrapped up with a bow. This style is a little too saccharine for me to read regularly lolol but it was a nice change of pace. Well written, diverse representation of characters, definitely recommended if you want an easy to digest, feel-good story.

Super cute cozy found family romantasy. A fairly straightforward plot, but I enjoyed the characters, the firefly-style depiction of the magic, and the easy reading.
For my romantasy girls wanting to know spice level: about equal parts plot and romance, with it being closed door aside from one chapter.
