I devoured this in one day.
So much angst, tension, heartbreak, spice, and those little dashes of humour.
Celeste and Zane's story has to be one of my favourite, from Pt 1 that was almost their own prequel novella, to the sheer tragedy that initiates their downfall.
“I hate her with all I am,” I whisper, my eyes closed. “No,” Lex says, his voice soft. “You don’t. And that’s the problem, isn’t it?”
And doesn't that say it all!

I first read this book when it came out and I think I read it a little too fast because I didn't enjoy it. But I listened to the audiobook and I absolutely love this book. The only part I wanted to see an actual scene would be Celeste confronting Zane regarding Lily and her diary. Seeing Zane's reaction would have been something I wouldn't forget and would've brought the entire book together. Regarding their whole relationship, it was truly magical. Everything from the past to their wedding and everything that happened after that had me on a chokehold that I continued listening to the audiobook while at work. I love this book so much. Definitely my second favorite right after The Temporary Wife!

Omfg the angst was soo good. Also I went in blind without reading the trigger warnings and I'm kinda glad about that because otherwise the essence of the book would have been spoiled so if you can try to go in blind. All I wanna say is that Roses are my new favs ..
this simply was not good and i did not want to finish it but had to, i skimmed probably 50% of the book bc it was the same thing over and over again
