Iโm not one to message authors but I sent her a message and she immediately messaged me back and surprised me with the PERFECT personalizations. I LOVE THIS BOOK. The sweet southern belle charm and whip smart backhanded compliments had me CACKLING. Paige can sure keep up with the savvy older businessmen in her life. Hayes had me drooling. I love a morally grey man turned to mush by an innocent lady.

Absolutely loved the story, filled with all my favorite tropes and mini-tropes: a holy 14-year age gap, he falls first and hard, stepping up to protect_attack, his doggo loving her more than him, family drama, a toxic maternal figure, a business heiress, funny banter between brothers, a marriage of convenience, those "my wife" and "good girl" scenes... It was a lovely and exciting read, and oh so spicyโI couldn't get enough of the experience_unbalance between them! ๐
The torment at the end of the first book, with the MC messing up big time and making things worse, was actually understandable with his upgrading. But isn't that what we love in romance books? A smitten MC who messes up, realizes his mistakes, and grovels like a champ! ๐ Priceless! ๐ And the third-act breakup, a guilty pleasure trope that we all crave. That I CRAVE ๐คญ
Then comes the second book, where Paige was a queen with her reasoning, mindset, and forgiveness toward Hayes. โจ For a moment, I thought she was too kind, but her POV was top-notch, non-toxic, and green-flagged in all the right ways ๐
Hayes, my man! You got it so right the second time around ๐ค๐ซฃ If given two more chapters, you could have won over her harpy of a mother (the unswoonable type) ๐ฏ

First of all, I want to thank Grey's Promotions for the opportunity of this ARC, I have never read Adrian H before, and I must admit that this book is quite charming, it has all the tropes I love.

The Gossip Column part was interesting and I loved the fact that while Paige is an inexperienced girl still trying to find her footing yet she's definitely a strong one who knows her mind and doesn't back down from what she feels is right.
Hayes was perfect Grump turned Hottie and a man who's obsessed with a woman that he never expected to stumble across.
This ride was full of Spicy Drama and Hot times along with curveballs thrown and parents that make you go crazy and finding the best blessing in what you thought would be a worst time.
Beware though, the cliffy will come out of left field and leave you shocked.
