The way the world was created was really impressive and engaging, but I found most of the characters to be lackluster. Not a bad read, but I'm not planning to pick up the sequel anytime soon if at all.

This is only the second ever audio book I’ve tried and the first one i’ve actually finished and though I did enjoy it, the story itself felt a little predictable and I didn’t feel like the stakes were too high. I definitely enjoyed the story but there wasn’t anything special about it. I do suspect that if I had read a physical version my opinion might change but listening to it, I wasn’t super invested in the characters and things like that.

N. K. Jemisin si conferma una delle mie autrici favorite! La luna che uccide ha una trama semplice, ma esaltata dal worldbuilding dettagliato e originale e dalle tematiche gestite alla perfezione. Peccato per i personaggi, che nonostante siano ben caratterizzati risultano freddi e distaccati, sia per lǝ lettorǝ che tra di loro. Sempre ottima, invece, la scrittura, evocativa e scorrevole.
