Vampire romance, need I say more?

Loved this! It had the right amount of spice along with sweet. Not to mention a bit of action! I really enjoy that it had a nice HEA. If you’re looking for a quick read that will keep you entertained and laughing then I suggest you give it a try!

I actually really quite enjoyed this one. I'd never read anything by this author before, and was trying to find some good reads heading into the fall/spookier season. I also was still hoping to find some with a little bit of steam and possibly some angst? This one didn't have too much on the drama/angsty side, and it was slightly predictable, per say, but it was still a 3.75-4 star book for me.
I even enjoyed this slight humor brought in, Silver was quite mouthy and that's what I giggled at. From her first meeting with Logan all the way through, she kept that strong willed personality, and that was perfect, without being TOO much.

Fun and sassy read! Really adored Logan and Silver and would have loved even more. Looking forward to reading book 2 of Bite Nights.

The idea that there is a dating site where vampires are the clients is what made me want to check this book out. I found this book to be a fun read. Although, I was hoping for more of a comedy. Yet, despite not getting that result, I did find this book to be an easy and fast read. Silver and Logan do share chemistry. However, I would not call it sizzling but more like hot. Luckily, the two of them were fun to be around as there was not much happening in the story. Like really no action other than Logan and Silver together. There was potential in what I read but not enough to make me jump for joy and rush to read the next book in this series.

Ridiculous, laugh out loud, insta-love. Not really my thing, but I’m so glad I stayed for the twist because it was different than any other vampire books I’ve read.

A Great First Bite Of This New Paranormal Romance Series

So, what did I like about it?
[a:Juliet Lyons|15118466|Juliet Lyons|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1480099602p2/15118466.jpg] is a new-to-me author; I liked her writing style and found this story very easy to read. I liked how she mixed fantasy and reality to create a world that I could believe in and I loved the new twists she created for her vampires, how they are made, the hints at their origins and their society/social hierarchy; I look forward to seeing the world and the intricacies further expanded in the ensuing novels.

I liked the fact that Ms Lyons wrote this tale from a “first person point of view” but allowed both her hero and heroine to lead the reader with their own chapters/sections giving us a chance to read their inner dialogue; it added a further depth of understanding. I relished the fact that Silver and Logan are both complex, multifaceted characters with their own set of foibles and emotional baggage. I felt as though I really got to know them during this book.

There are a couple of stories running in the background to the main romance and I enjoyed all the twists and turns that Ms Lyons’ built into her various plot lines. But, I’ve got to say I REALLY appreciated the cliffhanger-free ending, thank you Ms Lyons for ending Silver and Logan’s story with a nice epilogue that answered some of my questions about the couple.

I experienced many emotions while reading [b:Dating The Undead|33552474|Dating The Undead (Bite Nights, #1)|Juliet Lyons|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1482511063s/33552474.jpg|49996985]; the banter and situations Silver got herself into made me chuckle, I shed a tear or two during the more emotional revelations, the fighting and action scenes fed my adrenalin, the romance warmed my heart and the passion put fire in my blood. In other words I was gripped and couldn’t stop reading.

So, ummm, was there anything I disliked about it?
One of the background stories in this book, is concerning London’s Metropolitan Police and their interest in vampires. I won’t say what but just that there were certain situations and aspects that didn’t completely feel right for me. However, as [b:Dating The Undead|33552474|Dating The Undead (Bite Nights, #1)|Juliet Lyons|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1482511063s/33552474.jpg|49996985] is the first book in this series, I was willing to put that aside and assume that this aspect would develop in future books.

So, basically what I’m saying is...
I really enjoyed this story and didn’t want it to end. The premise of this book and series caught my attention (as well as the front cover and low price on Amazon UK) but it was the writing and plot development that kept me reading. I have already bought the next book [b:Drop Dead Gorgeous|34006765|Drop Dead Gorgeous (Bite Nights, #2)|Juliet Lyons|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1504715293s/34006765.jpg|55003667] and added [b:That Killer Smile|35023954|That Killer Smile (Bite Nights, #3)|Juliet Lyons|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1508426568s/35023954.jpg|56310306] (Bite Nights #3) to my Amazon wish list.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy beautifully cute romance stories with pages of titillating eroticism interspersed with kick-arse action and witty banter.

A Wonderful Paranormal Romance.

I really enjoyed this story and didn’t want it to end. The premise of this book caught my attention (as well as the front cover - hubbahubba) but it was Julia's writing style and plot development, together with the fantastic performance of Justine and Alan that kept me listening.

I see that there more two more books in the series - Drop Dead Gorgeous and That Killer Smile. I hope both will be released as audiobooks too.

I’d recommend Dating the Undead those of you who enjoy beautifully cute romance stories with pages of titillating eroticism interspersed with kick-arse action and witty banter.

Any book that makes me laugh gets 4 stars. This one was funny. I liked the world building, the heroine was funny but not abrasive, and the hero was protective but not overbearing.

Land lady Vera stole every scene she was in.

I fell in love with the cover Dating the Undead as soon as I saw it and that plus pretty much everything else about it made me want to read it! I will confess that I actually started reading it months ago, but it was during one of my picky-no-book-is-satisfying-me moments, so I actually decided to stop reading it and pick it up another time. And now, I wish I could go back in time and shake myself because I should have never stopped reading it in the first place! Dating the Undead was positively excellent and while it didn't work out the first time because I was crazy, the second time was definitely the charm - I completely loved it!

Silver is not your typical sweet, gentle heroine - far from it. She's snarky and bossy and sarcastic and she doesn't let people get close. She doesn't take guff from anyone and she pretty much always speaks her mind. Silver is fierce and once you're in with her, you're in, she's loyal and would fight for you and to be with you. I absolutely loved Silver, I loved her personality and how tough she was, but even that couldn't stop her from caring about and loving Logan - she's the best!

It was impossible not to fall in love with Logan. He's funny and silly and playful. He's almost always teasing and being inappropriate. He's so fun, but he's also sweet and his feelings for Silver are obvious. Logan is one hundred percent in love with her, he's protective and would do anything for her. Logan is just a great guy and totally heart melting.

There were times when Dating the Undead broke my heart and made it ache, but for the most part, I had such a fun time reading it. It made me laugh and smile a lot, I loved watching Silver and Logan's little teasing banter matches - it was just pure and good. Dating the Undead was a sweet, sexy, heartwarming read, I wholeheartedly enjoyed it, and I'm excited to read the next book in the series!

Dating the Undead is a the first book in the V-Date.Com series, it's told from Logan and Silver's POV, and they do get their happily-ever-after.
