I’ve always wanted to see a book that explored the interplay between comedy and anti capitalism. I’m SO glad this author finally gave that to me. A slight star off because I would have loved a chapter specifically about free speech’s impact on art and free speech’s potential to be a value reclaimed by the left—- something I see as inseparably relevant. Who knows if Lane-McKinley agrees with me or not about that in particular. Regardless, the ideas in this book are smart, insightful, and fresh.
