After reading Mr. Second Best I had to start this trilogy. I need to know Kat and Nick’s story and more background on other characters like Mark, Jake and Nate. This ending. I need more.

So good

This book is really intriguing. It brings in naughty thoughts with the fat placed life of working in the ER. Definitely keeps you turning pages.

If the author would just stick to Nick and Kat it would have been so much better. I really don’t like flashbacks in books- I love a good slow burn- Marianna
zappata has written my favorites-Kulti, From Lukov with Love and Wall of Winnipeg. I never skimmed one page in those books. I skimmed a lot in this book… the parts that were about the MC’s interactions were great— the rest was boring fluff. I’m going to check out book 2 to see if it gets better because I really like the love story of Nick
And Kat.

This is the first book in a series by LM Fox. It follows Katarina Kelly and Nick Barnes where they meet in a hospital setting (they are both physicians). The sexual tension leaps off the pages in this book! It’s an easy read with plenty of spice with a relatable FMC. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read Fractured (second book in series)!!

I am obsessed with this book❤️❤️❤️. I enjoyed it so much. I love the characters and the story. I am so excited to see what is going to happen in the next book. I am so in love with Nick and Kat.

Deprivation (book one) follows Katarina, a jaded PA working in the ER and Dr. Nick Barnes a orthopedist who is new to the same ER.

From their initial meeting when Kat race cared into a parking spot, her and Nick have had a a turbulent working relationship.

Throughout the book, we receive a handful of flashbacks for Kat that detail her dating history and why she doesn’t trust men to stick around long and be openly transparent with her.

As their working relationship develops, they both began having desires for one another they only act on via their nightly dreams.

Katarina’s dreams start becoming more bizarre and things in them begin to cross over into reality.

My thoughts…

I loved this book. I was truly shocked when I realized this book is less than a month old, is LM Fox’s debut book, and that more people haven’t talked about it just yet.

Deprivation is so well paced and the character building is well done. I found myself always on the edge of my seat waiting for more and more always came.

This book did not disappoint and I cannot wait for the second and third book!

I have been meaning to read this series for months now & I am so mad at myself for putting it off. I could not put this book down one bit. I NEED to know what is going on with Kat & Nick. Kat has so much going on, and you get such an understanding of her as a person thanks to the flashbacks of her dating history. This story keeps taking so many twists & Kat has some seriously weird stuff going on.

I love the animosity combined with the chemistry that Kat & Nick have. The angst is so hot & I seriously love it. I absolutely could not put this book down & needed to keep going into book 2 right away. Such an amazing book!

Light spoilers in the trigger warnings.

This book was pretty darn good. I mean you know it’s a good book when the author can make you cry! I felt all the emotions with the main characters I cried, I literally laughed out loud, and there were definitely areas where I too needed a cold shower! I would totally recommend this book for a fun read just be prepared to get the rest, because the ending cliffhanger will make you wanna throw the book!!
