A little shallow, but lovely and sexy nonetheless.
The perfect rainy weekend reading, when you don't want to think to much about your life.

Some cute parts. But I wish I would’ve checked for trigger warnings. I also felt like a lot of it was problematic. I didn’t hate it but I also wasn’t kicking and screaming and in love with it. ‘Twas mid.

Here is the thing. Elle Kennedy is REALLY good at coming up with interesting book themes. - A girl who was raped and struggles with that past thinking she can never be whole, then she finds someone who can. It’s the execution that falls short. Not ONCE did I ever want to be dating Garrett Graham in this book & that’s a BIG problem for a romance book. In fact I don’t think I want to be in the same room as him 80% of the time. Why did the FMC fall for the MMC? Answer: because he was doing the bare minimum….protecting her drink, making her feel comfortable at a party and looking out for her. Which he pressured her into going to which she stated she wasn’t comfortable with it to begin with.. mention he forced her into tutoring him too…. 🚩The man can’t handle no. Also immature, both of them & incredibly cringey. All the male characters felt the same aka f-boys. This book was like nothing, PRO GENOCIDES, nothing, spice, spice, spice. I stuck with this book because I kept thinking something is going to happen to change my mind, it never did (I mean everyone and their cousin seemed to love it).

I’m not even going to mention all the random characters that I felt kept popping up????? So confusing.

In conclusion: this book was gross & the MMC is so not swoon worthy. Will I read another book(s) in this serious? Yes, because I bought 3 of them with sprayed edges & I really want to find the hype.

- there is a one star review on here (Goodreads) that gives quotes and easily describes how I feel about this book in far better words then I can or even care to convey.
