I’m doing a thing where I reread books that I loved in middle school/early high school and seeing if they hold up today. I remember picking this one up back when it was on Wattpad I think?
With this one, it’s definitely a cute, easy read. I really like how it showcases Jackie‘a grief process. The romance is light and fun, and perfect for a YA book. The book and the show are honestly so different (the show was so difficult to get through oops).
It’s not as amazing as I remember it being when I was 14 (I went into it fully expecting that) but it’s enjoyable. If you’re looking for a cute YA read, I would definitely go with this.

i finished this book in about a day and it’s the best book i’ve read in a while!! if you love YA books you have to read this!!
four stars bc i live for cheesy romance books like this. but also i read the book after i watched the new show so taking away a star for all the differences
