2.5 stars—I was seeing a lot of buzz for this series because of The Summer I Turned Pretty, so I was expecting it to be somewhat similar or at least a higher quality young adult series. I felt the characters and plot were too underdeveloped, and the dialogue was too basic.

Okay okay okay. I straight up ripped through this book. It sucked me in. The drama, the love triangle, the emotions… I haven’t seen the show, because I refuse to watch book-based media without reading the book first. Lemme say this… if the show strays, I may struggle. Because the book was just so good. I think I felt like I was there. My high school days all over again.
