I always enjoy a dystopian book.

It was a shortish book, so the connection between the mmc and fmc was quite quick.

Having them speak 2 different languages was a good barrier for them to overcome and meant they couldn't rely on language to progress their relationship.

While it was a relatively short book, it still felt like the storyline was full and well written

I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

This book series is wild. The first book starts out with the most unlikeable hero and is pretty dark and then we get to this book and it's almost a normal romance.

Suki has been on her own with her two kids since the start of the apocalypse when she runs into Trent. She needs his help because her son is injured. So naturally she stabs him in the leg, knocks him out, and drags him back her place. Trent isn't like the previous heroes in the series, he enjoys sex, but doesn't want any attachments to anyone, but he starts falling for her.  The nice thing about this book is this is the first one in series were the sex is consensual.

I got 3 more books to go, but so far this my favorite out of the series Trent are Suki are both very likeable.
