Charlotte's Web

4.08 AVERAGE

read in 3rd grade and had to do a project and just remembered I did going through a list of classics

I wish I read this when I was a child. It's so endearing, real and true. A very good children's book about friendship.

Its a cute book! I thought Charlotte was the little girl's name but a girl couldnt have a web right?

The perfect book to read before spending a weekend with the best friends a girl could ever have.

It is a wonderdul book for children! It introduces friendship and death in a gentle manner. The only negative point are the misogyny appearing toward Fern. There was too many comments about her reducing her as cliché roles whereas she is only 8years old.

Remind me again why this book didn't win the Newbery? Sure, a Newbery Honor is great, but who in the world has read Secret of the Andes? But we've all read and loved Charlotte's Web.

I read and loved this book in when I was in elementary school, and I always thought that it was a great story about friendship and death. But now that I'm older, I think it's more of a story about friendship and life. Yes, death is a part of that, but only a small part. It's the part that really makes life special and precious.

Plus, reading this made me really uneasy about eating bacon.
