I revisited this for the first time since childhood, and it holds up so well. What a beautiful story about friendship. This audiobook was incredible. Meryl Streep as the narrator was an absolute treat and the entire cast was excellent.
If an author can make me cry over the death of a spider, then it deserves all the accolades.

Rereading as an adult for children’s lit class. Such a soothing and nostalgic experience.
4.5/5. This was one of my favorite novels growing up and I never knew until now how much it taught me. It taught me about growing up, making friends, feeling forsaken, feeling like an outsider, feeling useless, etc and wanting to give up if it were not for that one person whom pulled you through it. When Charlotte died was the first time I read a death that to this day affects me to the point of tears.
