“Dead ends are only course corrections to help you find the right direction.”

I'd like to thank Simon & Schuster for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

This was a great read! I loved how from the very first chapter we're thrown back into the action and adventure of the City Spies world. Just like in book one, there were exciting spy missions and daring action scenes. Each mystery and puzzle were a lot of fun to solve and their solutions were surprising at every turn. The writing style is very easy to follow and sucks you into the story. I could vividly picture each setting and it made for a very immersive reading experience. All of the amazing characters are back in full force and have a lot of character development. I'm very excited to learn more about each of the City Spies as the series continues. I also highly recommend the audiobook version, the narrator did a fantastic job of voicing all of the characters. Readers of every age will enjoy this series, I recommend it to anyone who likes a good spy story. It has everything from heists to royalty, and everything in between!

A great sequel filled with exciting plot twists, intriguing puzzles, and loveable characters.

I adored book 1 and in book 2 you continue to learn about more character backstories, but also get to see the characters and the team as a whole learn and grow. The mystery of the second one was more fun for me because of knowing the backstory of the first. The second one got to add so many more layers to the series plot while also having you along for the ride as they dealt with the mystery particular to this book.

The adventures continue in this excellent City Spies sequel!

An agent dies suddenly while investigating the identity of a double agent who's been passing information to the agency's enemies for years, and the City Spies are tasked with following the clues he left behind to catch the double agent once and for all.

The kids crack codes, outwit kidnappers, and set off explosives as they work together to face off against their enemies!
