Once again I'm surprised by how much I liked this book, if I read it as a kid it would probably be one of my all-time favourites. I really enjoyed how we got to explore a bit more of the background of each of the characters and the ending was just so cute! The book does a great job at dealing with some complex topics as well as presenting things like insecurities or jealousy as something normal that everyone experiences and shows how to deal with it in a healthy way. Another aspect I like is the changing narration and how James Ponti is able to write in the POV of a character others are searching for without revealing who they are.

This is such a fun series! I’ve been listening to it with my younger boys while we work on puzzles together. It’s very clever and keeps you thinking… just perfect for bonding time with my kiddos! I’m just hoping there will be more in the series…
