Talk about a mad and weird tale of horror.
Many fo the holes that I had about Wonderland have been filled, and there were still many open for the next issues of this story. I'm still trying to figure out what will happen next, and I think I'm going to like it very very much when I discover it.

I try not to leave books unread. Even bad books, I try my best to finish, just to give them a shot. I couldn't do it with this one. I got up to page 75. I like the angle- a dark, dark Wonderland; I even liked the graphics- they're alright. What I didn't care for was the lack of chronology and stilted storylines; I guess someone who liked this could say that was meant to reinforce the schizophrenic nature of this Wonderland. I just found it confusing and jumpy and I never really got an idea for what I was supposed to be getting out of this.

Another pet peeve of mine is putting a super busty female character on the front in order to increase sales.

This was a wild ride! It took me a bit to really get into the swing of the tempo but once i got it i was enthralled. The stories are awesomely twisted and the art is gorgeous. I will definitely continue on with these GN.

What I loved
Please check trigger warnings before going into this, because it's such a dark, deranged take of Wonderland.  In the first volume, we see the origin stories for the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, and Alice, and they are all so very twisted.  I really can't pick which I preferred because I just really dug each of them for different reasons.

I didn't love how femme bodies were portrayed here. That was a bit skeezy but if you can look past that and like really dark comics (like I Hate Fairyland and Monstress), definitely check this out!

This was alright. I enjoyed the Wonderland that's created and I appreciated the different takes on the characters. It was definitely different than I expected. The horror element was nice and was also just disturbing enough to freak me out. My main issue with this volume is the way the women are drawn. Too voluptuous, and too thin. No one looked ordinary.

I can't say that I'll pick up another volume though. We'll see.

So much darker than Alice in wonderland. A little difficult to follow as the chapters are not written in chronological order but still a fantastic story with amazing graphics
