A man loses his mind and destroys my childhood.

I think this ruined my childhood... I mean, I know that sounds dramatic, but while reading the required book, I wanted to put it down so many times. I forced myself to finish, but it was so dark. So sad...  It made me so sad to think about how far people were willing to go to get power. Madness is not something that can be predicted. I finished this book and don't know if I'll continue with this series of books.

And what was done to Carpet... šŸ˜

The re-telling of ā€œAladdinā€ treads a fine line between a replica of the original source and fan-fiction, it is a lot better, and surprisingly more inspired, than it could have been.

3.5āļø it was a good read. It relied on the live action version a little too much. The added characters saved the whole book. It started off light then took a dark turn. It didnā€™t get super interesting until the 2nd half. It honestly didnā€™t need to be that long but still good.

Even if Iā€™m not a huge fan of the film, I liked this book for me it was a rollercoaster of emotion and I liked how the author put raw and violent scenes compared to the cartoon.
I also enjoyed the background story and the add of new characters.

When I read about the twisted tales series, I figured the "twisted" part was because it was a what if scenario. What a rookie mistake.

First and foremost I need to get this off my chest. THE WHAT IF SCENARIO IS NOT ABOUT ALADDIN NOT FINDING THE LAMP IT IS ABOUT JAFAR GETTING THE LAMP. Ok so the tag line doesn't really effect the book but it irked  me when I was reading because that what is this didn't happen, still happened.
For the actual plot I found that I really engaging and can see why people really like this series. This was also a lot darker then I was expecting with death and other things happening, mind you that this is also a Disney book. It also gave me final book in a series vibes which does make me want to look into Liz Braswell's catalog and see if they have any series to read.

Great read to end a jammed packed month.

This book was absolutely fantastic but
the end was afull as they destroyed the premiums of the book and made it extremely hard to finish
I would never read this book again but the beginning was good.
