I loved this a whole lot, but listen… I need a Nova standalone like right now!
Trigger warnings: violence, murder, parental abuse
WAYWARD WITCH is the third book in the Brooklyn Brujas trilogy. It follows Rose Mortiz who has survived her sisters’ traumatic hijinks only to discover her powers aren’t actually what she thought they were. On her Deathday, she also finds out that her father’s amnesia is a lie. When she confronts him, they get ambushed and pushed through a portal to the land of Adas where she’s forced to heal the realm with a group of others. But the experience will prove to be more than she’s bargained for, and maybe even more harrowing than anything she’s faced before.
I avoided this book for two years because I didn’t want this series to end, and while it was bittersweet, I loved this book just as much as the first two! Rose was always the quiet one in her sisters’ novels so it was great to get her perspective and see more of her personality in her own novel. While I did find it a little hard to get into at first, I ended up enjoying the new setting, the new characters and Rose’s character development. I loved the ending, but I really wanted more of Nova! Honestly, he should have a stand-alone book because where did he go?! This series has a special place in my heart and it’ll probably become a consistent reread during spooky season. Highly recommend!

This series.
I had reservations about this series because I didn't like Labyrinth Lost. But I am glad that I went through and read the whole series. While I didn't care for Alex's book, Lula and Rose had a great story. And while I wouldn't recommend Labyrinth Lost by any stretch of the imagination, I do recommend reading all three of them. These books are win afterwards.
