This is one of my favorite Oscar Wilde stories. You just have to feel for the poor ghost trying to scare Americans who refuse to believe in him.

Very cute story about a centuries-old ghost who's reigned supreme among spectres of English mansions--until he has to deal with a newly-arrived American family. Not only do the little boys torment him, but they're constantly offering him products to deal with his troubles, like stain remover for spectral blood etc. Can the ghost find a way to scare them? Will he ever find any peace? Maybe...
I love this story, but then I'm an Oscar Wilde fan. And a ghost story fan. And come to think of it, a fan of poking fun at certain types of people, so really no one who knows me should have expected any different.
