I’ve been trying to write a review for Green-Eyed Monster by Rawnie Sabor for a little while now. How do I review something that left me shattered in all the best ways? I have all the feelings about this book, but I cannot seem to put them to paper, at least not in a way that does the book justice. I loved it. Plain and simple. Absolutely f*cking loved it.💚

I have said it before, and I am saying it again, and now I am even more convinced Rawnie laces the pages of her books with all kinds of addictive drugs. I was hooked from the very first chapter, and knew by then that this book would immediately become one of my all-time favourites.💚

Rawnie has this uncanny ability to lull you into a false sense of security, before she violently rips the carpet out from beneath our feet. And then puts it back in place after, luckily. She has also managed to make me a fan of a certain spicy trope that I was the opposite of a fan of before. Vex (and only Vex) is welcome to do with/to me as she pleases😌

If you are looking for a book that not only captivates you from the very first chapter, but also stays with you long after you finish, this is it. If this is not already on your TBR, do yourself a favour and add it, and start counting down for the release on June 17th

Rawnie Sabor does it again. She’s the only author that I’ve given 5 star rating to all of her books I’ve read.

The complicated relationship between Vex and Angela had me captivated from the beginning. They balanced each other so well in pissing each other off and surprising each other in ways they would never expect.

The character development was the smoothest and most realistic I’ve read in any book. They didn’t change who they are, just how they perceived things and I thought it was perfect.

There was something so relatable about Angela’s character in that she felt useless if she wasn’t constantly busy. I know she’s technically 26 but as a millennial, I feel like her character could connect so well with the whole of our generation and the nonstop working/productiveness that we have to do or else we’re seen as lazy. And in Vex’s character that she couldn’t be anything else than what her sin tells her to be hit hard as well. Vex was the truest embodiment of “touch her and die” I’ve ever read about and I lived for it.

I sincerely hope Sabor never stops writing, because she’s become my favorite author just by giving us books that make you feel.

I absolutely zipped through this book! This was such a great story I couldn't peel myself away from. Vex, an Envy fiend and being of hatred and lies, is absolutely my new book girlfriend idc, she can do whatever she wants. And Angel Norwood, poor, sweet Angela with a heart of gold and only the loveliest intentions, is a powerful witch who is logical to a fault.
I absolutely loved the way Angela would talk through all her problems, everything was just fact or information that needed to be acquired which, imo, made her a super fun character to watch as her beliefs slowly broke down and things couldn't be rationalized away.
All-in-all, I loved the characters and the story as a whole. Kept me super invested and I want to immediately dive back in and read it again. Would absolutely recommend!

Oh my goddddddd this book wrecked me. I literally couldn’t put it down. My wife made fun of me because I continued reading even while we were at a concert😭
Vex is perfect, I’m obsessed. Angela is precious and wonderful.
Just… read this book. Best of the court of chains series so far
