I love Rossetti's poetry. Her imagery is so lush and vibrant, and her characters so alive they almost leap from the page. It was lovely to read her poetry purely for pleasure, without the pressure of a thesis looming in the background. My favourite is "Song (When I am dead, my dearest)". The thought of the refreshing rain on the soft grass is wonderful, and such a restful, peaceful concept of death.

I LOVE THIS POEM. I loved Wintersong by S Jae-Jones SO MUCH I couldn't wait to read the original Goblin Market poem it was based on. I'm a sucker for dark, twisty, creepy stories/poems and this will definitely be one of my favorites!

I really liked the title poem. The rest was very preachy!

Some weird stuff happens in this poem. Not gonna lie, I was slightly terrified of it, and horrified. It's not everyday there is a poem about goblins haunting two women, making them buy their fruit, with thinly veiled innuendos about rape and sex.
Definitely interesting to study. But honestly one of the weirdest things I've read.
