I’ve learned something important: smut just for the sake of smut isn’t for me. I can’t say it was a bad book, it’s just not my kind of read. I need a plot. I need character development. I need to care about what’s happening, not just watch it unfold.
There was a brief moment of excitementwhen the characters headed to New York. I really thought we were going somewhere, especially with the promise (or at least the hope) of dealing with the husband . But nope. Nothing. That thread just fizzled out.
It’s not a book I connected with, but I know it’ll work for readers who enjoy pure spice with minimal stakes. Just not for me.

More spice than story...as books like this go. Dark. I don't get triggered easily, and I would guess the triggers or at least the ick factor of this book might be too much for most. But if you're a Dark Smut reader, this is a good one.

Nearly didn’t finish this. In fact skipped the last chapter near the end.

Now what the hell did I even read?? The plot was there but smut every chapter and an immediate attraction to one another kinda downplays the rest of the story.
