This was a lot. I don’t know how to write my review yet.
I loved this book, but I feel like there is a lot more to process and understand. I have soooo many questions?
1. Is there just one Harbor and Starless Sea? Of multiple Harbors? Because Kat opens a door to the Starless Sea but I thought the Harbor had already closed. So will she visit a new one or just another one?
2. Will Dorian and Zachary only be able to live on in the subterrean world of the Starless Sea? Or will they be able to move back to the “normal” world? And meet Zachary’s mother?
3. It seems like Fate and Time’s job is done? What will happen to them?
4. Is Kat supposed to be a new storyteller? Or a new key?
5. How come the bees were crafting everything?
6. What is the owl king? Or who? (Who/Hoo, get it)
Perhaps I will be able to answer my own questions after revisiting this story in my mind.
I must say, I preferred The Night Circus. This book was just a LOT. And a bit tiring to read? However, it was crafted wonderfully, with detailed descriptions of a colourful and poetic world. It contains so many layers and metaphors. I think rereading this a few times might be good, but like I said, it is a lot, so I do not really want to reread.
Would I recommend this book? Yes.
Do I think this would make a wonderful movie? Yes!
Would I read this book ever again? No.

This book was so beautifully written and planned out. You know when you finish a book and all you want to do is re read it? Yep, exactly how I feel with this one!

Quantum physics kinda fantasy labyrinth through time and space romance? I liked it . The doors reminded me of "The 10,0000 does of January". I liked the bees the best. 🐝🐝🐝

Erin Morgenstern’s style of writing is incomparable, at least in my experience. This story is a journey from which I wished I never had to return to the real world.
