Nein, auch als Metapher ist Pädophilie nicht okay, auch nicht wenn sie Gay ist. 
First of all, die ersten Zwanzig Seiten waren so unnötig kompliziert schnöselig geschrieben, also Thomas Mann wäre ich nicht gern bei einer Dinnerparty begegnet so wie er redet. Danach wurde es echt besser und die Novelle hat mir sehr gut gefallen… bis…
Der 50 jährige sich in einen 14 jährigen Jungen verliebt??!! Hold on??! Und ihn dann stalkt??!! Leude neee. Wenn du deinen Punkt nur mit Pädophilie machen kannst solltest du deinen Punkt vielleicht nochmal überdenken. Naja, selbst schuld dass er am Ende an Cholera erkrankt tbh. 
Manche Sätze haben einfach nicht aufgehört!!! Und ja das mag auch eine Kunst sein, zumal sein Schreibstil auch öfters relativ spielerisch und innovativ mit der Sprache umgeht. Aber das kann man auch ohne Pädophilie machen, ja? Fr, wären dass im Jahre 1911 meine ersten Kontaktpunkte mit Homosexualität gewesen dann wäre ich auch homophob geworden.

This classic novella is an extended meditation on the connections and intersections between art, spirituality, aesthetics, eroticism and morality. It's beautifully executed, but also very much of its time, drawing on concepts of vitality, race and degeneracy that are now rightly discredited. Mann is clearly aware of at least some of the dangers of these. However, his choice of an unreliable narrator and our historical hindsight make it an uncomfortable read at times. I would only recommend this to someone who already has a decent background in Western European art and literature of the time.
