This took me an age to read for some reason but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I wasn’t so sure about this book. I couldn’t quite grasp everything that was going on.
I was quite disappointed with the ended felt a bit rushed.

Absolutely wonderful read!
Between Jojo , Gemma and Lily I couldn’t decide which story was my favorite !
The perfect book for any occasion, I rate this a solid 10/10!

I loved this book; I didn’t want it to end! The story was told through 3 women’s perspectives: an event planner who had her boyfriend “stolen” by her best friend, the best friend who fell in love with the guy, and their mutual literary agent who is the “other woman” in a relationship of her own. They go through their ups and downs and have their successes and failures both professionally and personally, and especially by the end I didn’t want to put it down because I had to know what happened to them. Even though they were characters I normally wouldn’t feel sympathetic to, I was so glad that they all got happy endings. Maybe not their ideal endings, but happy nonetheless. I give it an A.

I was not expecting this book to be as good as it was. The further I read on, the harder it was for me to put the book down. Brilliant read

Well at the beginning of this book, I was nervous I wasn't going to finish the over 600 page book that sat on my nightstand. Then it switched to another character's point of view.

The first one - Gemma - was way too whiny to start the book off. I know the order of the characters mattered due to the unveiling of the story, but I was really not liking this book in the beginning. By the time Keyes introduces the second two characters I am engulfed in their semi-connected stories and wondering how this will all end.

Upon completing - I would have to say in general I liked the book. I know that I am biased when it comes to books based on Britishness (sorry rooms) - never been a fan. But when I got beyond the language barrier I enjoyed how each character was entangled and affected by one another.

I would definitely recommend this but with hesitation to those who are not into the British things AND to those who are not into larger volume books!

This is 4 out of 5 on the fluffy, fun scale which has Bridget Jones at 5 stars, I guess.

Classic chick lit (if you like that sort of thing) from one of the best in a saturated genre. Set in the competitive, high-stakes world of book publishing, three women's (two writers and one agent) lives intertwine in a fluffy tale that hits all the right notes.

My favorite part is the quote from Cicero at the beginning of the book because it perfectly encapsulates the tongue-in-cheek humor of this novel: "Times are bad. Children no longer obey their parents and everyone is writing a book."
