Just too YA for me right now. Thought I was in the mood, but guess I wasn’t!

It was a fun read, but I found it very slow sometimes (the very long chapters didn’t help) I would still recommend it to anyone who wants a fun summer book!

I’ve had this on my shelf for a long time and I just decided to pick it up. It was pretty good!

The characters were enjoyable, but the main character kind of bothered me with her being SOO SHY it’s like girl come on just speak a full sentence. I liked her development through the story and how she got more friends and became more confident.

The book was really fast-paced and kept my attention the entire time. I was really interested in the story as a whole.

I did like the romance, I liked the slow burn but I thought it was kind of odd to make Frank have a girlfriend for the ENTIRE BOOK. I hate when cheating ends up being a plot point, it just bothers me. Either way, this is probably one of the best contemporary romances I’ve read. I have a horrible reputation when it comes to enjoying contemporary romance so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. That’s probably one of the reasons I gave it 4 stars.

The end of the book was weird, not going to lie. It was SUPER SUPER RUSHED, and I didn’t really understand why the gala was at Sloane’s old house, that made no sense to me. Also……what, is she just not friends with Collins and Dawn anymore?? Where is the resolution? Why leave us hanging on everything??

Sloane’s reason for not telling Emily why she left was dumb as fuck, like what kind of half-baked reason was that. Stupid. Also she didn’t even seem to be that amazing of a friend but okay whatever.

Most stuff I enjoyed, some stuff was weird but overall I’m willing to overlook some faults. It was overall a fun book to read, which is honestly all I can hope for lol.

giving this four stars because there were some parts that i didn't like even though i was OBSESSED with this book in middle school. it was still super fun to reread and i'm happy i still really enjoyed it after all this time. some of the characters were dislikable at some moments, more so than i remembered them being. since i'm such a character-focused reader, i think this messed with my opinion a bit more than it might have for others. overall, still a super good book and great for the start of summer!

Just, no.
I thought this would be an okay book (like 2 or 3 stars) but the cheating completely ruined it for me.
