Amazingly complex book - it tied together a lot of the mysteries of the first book into a fascinating web. As with the first book, it was a bit slow to start but then got going. It made me want to keep reading it. I love a book that switches between multiple point of views. Can’t wait to read the next book!

A tad confusing at the beginning with the introduction of several new characters in a new setting, this one felt more difficult to grasp, however, once the dots started connecting so did all the branched storylines. The giant corkboard of timelines and red thread finally got its pins in place and it was magnificent--and a testament to the author's own all-knowing corkboard keeping track of things at home. There's still a few unanswered mysteries, and some absolute horrors, in here, but I'm excited to discover the rest in the finale.After I recover from the two blood-splatter craters of horror that were Malar and Meelan's deaths😫.
