I was looking for a Greek myth retelling that wasn't about that one group of gods people seem to always write about, so I was glad to find this one. I liked the overall storyline but the relationships and characterizations of primordials and gods was just weird. 

nyx and erebus' relationship seemed based off of miscommunication and when it seemed they were going to work it out they had sex and called it a day...? the sex scenes in general felt really out of place too.

A great read! I really enjoyed Nyx and Erebus and their relationship, and all the side characters were great too. Looking forward to continuing the series.

This is a book I didn't know I needed in my life until I got it. Holy Shit Molly, you did such an amazing job here. I LOVED the mythology, it has that undertone of old ancient greece with a modern twist in writing that made this novel so refreshing and different. I can't even think of any other book that is like this one, it's that unique.

Nyx is such an amazing character, she is an immortal goddess AND that is why she has so many emotions. I love the different take, most books make them emotionless because they are so old, but I loooooved seeing the gods have deep emotions and feelings.

Erebus…Whoo! Do I want me a piece of that. Erebus was such a great MMC.

Some thoughts as I read:
❤️ The world - a proper greek mythology world with the Underworld, Mt Olympus and Greece
❤️ The side characters, Hekate, Hades, Poseidon, Hermes etc
❤️ Loved seeing less knows characters from the mythology in this
❤️ Will Smith’s meme is perfect for a specific scene here (Hades and Erebus)
❤️ I now 100% have a kink for shadows (someone make them real please)
❤️ Nyx letting Erabus dominate her because she needs that, her liking to relinquish that power
❤️ Erabus’ respect and love for Nyx, made my heart melt
❤️ Zeus is such a dick, his ending was well fitted
❤️ THE THRONE ROOM SCENE!

Y’all… Molly CRUSHED this book… I’m trying to think of the right words to use. I absolutely loved this story. Molly had me falling for Nyx and Erebus by chapter 2.

I really wanted to love this, especially because there is so little content out there having to do with Nyx, but the writing was terrible. I just barely finished it.
