I really loved some parts of this, but I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes at pretty much most of what she says! I remember very specific parts that made me laugh, but in general, I found her story telling to be annoying. I don’t know if I don’t like her or if I just didn’t like how she communicated or tried to connect all these events in her life to some childhood trauma. I just, really don’t know.
And don’t even get me started on the Middle East part. As a woman from the Middle East, as she called it, I was way too offended by her ignorance and that whole chapter! My eyes hurt from how much I rolled them.

I didn't finish this book, but after not touching it for more than 6 months, I decided to call it quits. I am not the target audience for this book, as I find Whitney Cummings extremely obnoxious. But I read a few pages and laughed a bit here and there, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was ok, but really started to lose me and then I basically just gave up, so it's time to give the book away.

A short, yet captivating book. The tone of it is humorous even when discussing important issues, however that does not make them seem trivial. I think Whitney puts certain problems that people deal with on a regualr basis into common terms, easy to understand and to remember.

The book was good to read for someone in their 20’s. It was a learn as you go type of book. It was relatable, funny, weird, and interesting story telling. The last chapter was odd but the ending brought it all together. Really liked her self-reflection on ego and realizing she needs to learn to say “I don’t know” and that it’s ok to be wrong. Some interesting exercises that I tried for myself and good points to consider. Overall, pretty good.

This is a good read. The book was a little more serious than anticipated and hit some important life issues everyone can/should consider. The chapters were a little long and at points seemed to drag on. Overall good read and recommended for someone who wants to think about life issues with a little comedy thrown in and wants to learn more about Whitney.

I read this based on the title, not knowing anything about the author. I recommend it based on content! It’s relatable, helpful, and one that I’ll probably read again at some point. It’s funny and has good advice.
