I think Christian likes it "hard and fast" because he cannot last more then a few pumps. Seriously, was there any sexual encounters lasting more then a few minutes? Also, how is it they both cum at the same time, every time?

I started reading this book when it first came out, but lost my interest fairly quickly.
Then I saw the movie and it left me wanting more. I wanted to get to know what was inside of Grey' s mind.
It's not written to perfection but I did enjoy the books this time.
I'm not sure if I liked Anastasia all that much, I felt that she thought too little of herself. Christian Gray was a really puzzling character and it left me wondering what made him need the things that he needed, if that makes sense.

Thanks E. L. James for keeping me hanging..ugh! This is such a good series. Which is more about Mr. Grey and Anastasia's love than anything. Can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy

Just let me start this review off by saying that I love this series. I don't normally do romance but I love these books. This installment in the series didn't keep my attention like the first had, which is why it took me a lot longer to read it. Nevertheless i still loved it. The character progression is wonderful and I love watching Christian finally opening up to Anastasia. Love these books and their movie adaptations!

Simply put, this one just isn’t as good and engrossing as the first one. Some things got a bit old like Anna’s immature whining most of the book over serious events.  This book does have the most emotional scenes of the series though (which I love), so I can’t discredit it too much.

E.L. James has done it again - I was hooked on Fifty Shades of Grey, but this one? I just couldn't put it down. Read it in about 24 hours because I couldn't wait to read what was going to happen next.

While I think Fifty Shades of Grey was perhaps "darker", this book also has its equally dark parts but it has much more lighter parts than the first book.
I really love Anastasia and Christian, you learn much more about them in this book, especially about Christian's dark past which helps you fall further in love with him (was that even possible?!).

This book sure has its hot & heavy moments, but they're from a place of love - unlike the first book. I found this one slightly more realistic and prayed for a happy ending.

Speaking of the ending - whatttt?!
I love how Christian & Ana's story ends in this novel, but the last few pages leave you thinking - WHAT IN THE WORLD?! Most definitely a cliff hanger (although it was rather odd how it was just stuck in at the end of the book, not really connecting with what had just happened... perhaps it should have been it's own short chapter??)
I can't wait to find out what happens next when I grab the 3rd book tonight.

Highly addicting, highly recommended for those who don't mind a few (a lot!) of explicits and that "hot & bothered" feeling :)
