2.5* I didn't really know how I felt about this one. It's a short story obviously, but I felt like the plot was a bit better suited for something longer. I didn't really get to know the characters particularly well, except that their families didn't know how to feel about their respective partner. The writing style seemed a bit stilted and clunky at the beginning, but I got used to it. I guess there was a point to it, but I was expecting more of a resolution on the adoption/baby front. Overall this was a pretty forgettable, average read.

I am enjoying working through these short stories and novellas through Kindle though, it's a nice change to sit down and read a story in one go in between longer reads.
