This was a nostalgia re-read for me. Man, this book was absolutely fire when I was a kid. I found it a bit slow this time which is odd for a book that's only 100 pages, but yknow, being the actual target age group for the audience (which is seven) would probably help with the enjoyment of reading it lol. I would recommend this for the youth 100%

Would be 5 stars except for the way women are presented. I know this is from a much different time but it’s still possible to write female characters with more depth and also honor time period and culture.

I was hooked on this book! Kept me turning the pages each day!
This is my 1st time reading a story set in Korea in the mid-to late 12th century. I loved the importance of storytelling, patience, & skill/passion for an artist work to be done properly throughout this book.
This is a book I would definitely read again. :)

Don’t mind me crying over another children’s book. All I knew about this book was that it took place in 12th century Korea and had something to do with pottery.
The story was simple but moving, and although it was easy to see what would happen, it was so well-written and enjoyable. The last few pages really made me emotional.

A lovely book set in 12th century Korea. About Korean Celadon. Kind of. I guess it's more about a young man who finds who he is, even though he grew up as an orphan living under a bridge. I loved it.
