Friggin brilliant! The characters so relatable in terms of their personal and professional challenges. I thought this was going to be another cheesy romance novel but it was anything but.  There was a lot of characters development that you don' t really see in romance novels. I found myself rooting for the characters successes like it was my own. LOL. I absolutely love this book and could see myself reading it a few times over, just for the joy it brought whilst reading. Highly recommend

I think this book had a lot of potential that was muddied in its pre-release process.

Firstly, this book was written well - that is to say the flow and prose of the words was not clunky and was easy and enjoyable to read. That I'd honestly a difficult task in itself and I do commend her for that (and that will inspire me to read her future books)

I think my most major issue was the difference in the character arcs. Leo had a far more thorough and interesting arc while Nina's peaked very earlier and also started to mix with Jasmine's for some reason. I didn't feel a lot of Nina's motivations or the why/how of her moving forward.

There was also a disappointing issue that the chemistry for the leads was just kind of...not there. They were most definitely attracted to each other but it felt solely limited to sexual appeal. Which is fine but it just didn't do it on the actual romance front.

The descriptions of anxiety was well done for the most part for me. I did appreciate it in the ML as men's anxiety transparency is equally important. I didn't like how Nina responded to it though, oy.

I wanted more from this book in a lot of ways. The pace was off, things didn't seem to ever really happen, and the drama in the third act felt contrived.
