I feel like this series isn’t going to end happily. Or end how I want it to.

So from a 5 star book 1 to this was a little disappointing. It dragged mostly, I was bored, and picked up once in a while, but mostly, I was bored. I’m looking forward to the next one but also not looking forward to it, re. my first sentence 🫠

3.75 would be higher but i was so deeply disinterested and maybe even angry with some characters (ahem reina) narrative arcs and while i’m glad to read about everyone else and see the web entangle even further between them all, this was definitely a filler book to tee us up for the next one

i truly don’t even know what to say about this book. significantly better than the first one but somehow leagues worse? even more stuff happened and even less of it made sense. i am confused and nonplussed and i will be reading the third one. 2.5 stars maybe i don’t even know rn

This was an ideal second book. So much more plot development and action in this book as compared to the first.

The sentence "There is no science behind this magic, only vibes." is in this book which is simply unforgivable.
