My one 'complaint' with Richard Osman's books is that the murder mystery plot feels a bit convoluted sometimes. It's not like a classic Arthur Conan Doyle story where the mystery is a puzzle the reader can solve if only they are clever enough. There's too much going on in the background.
That said, the fantastic characters carry the story through so it doesn't feel like a major problem. I still had a good time.

I like Osman's characters better than I like their plots. I'm intrigued by the plots, but I also hit a 'eh, bored' point where I feel that attempts are made to add too many details.
And, particularly in this one, I didn't believe the culpability of the criminal. I fully believe I was supposed to accept them as The One, but it was unconvincing. The take down, in a nicely twisted modern adaptation of an Agatha Christie 'gather them all in a room', while tidying up many plot threads, didn't help there, because too much time is spent on the surroundings.
Moderate: Death and Murder
Minor: Drug use

One thing I felt really came together well in this book was the interaction between all of the characters. I feel as though we really know the characters now and whilst Elizabeth's past life is not fully known still, it was certainly given more attention to in this book. I was disheartened that we did not see more of Donna and Chris, but I still liked their respective involvement in the story.
In terms of story writing, I thought it was told really well and the chapters were nice and short, as well as really easy to read and I absolutely flew through this. I felt it was funny in the most appropriate places, and leads of suspects were placed well throughout the book. I have loved the other two books in the series so far, but this certainly was the one in which I felt everything came together more smoothly. Coupled with the interaction and familiarity of characters, this made this by far my favourite.
