Not too impressed. I felt like Cutter was trying to emulate Stephen King’s writing a little to hard at various points throughout the book. I wish Cutter had allowed himself to explore more of the ‘Gets than what the book did focus on. I think this book is good for people who like psychological horror.
The scene where LB meets her demise is really what solidified my distaste for the entire book. It felt completely necessary. Any animal, specifically dog lovers, should take warning going into this novel.

An edge-of-your-seat psychological horror that takes place at the bottom of the ocean. I don’t want to spoil anything, but if you like creature features and thrilling, spooky body horror and characters you want to root for in harrowing situations, this is a good one.

This book was way too long for what it is. The last 3rd of the book felt like it took twice as long as the first two. The ending was just kind of disappointing to me based on how much I loved the beginning.
