If you like “IT” I think you’ll like this one. Some of the scenes had me picturing scenes from IT, especially the creepy taunting voices. A lot of descriptive details in this book, which helps with the creepiness of it all. Was pretty good, and not what I was expecting at all.

I was confused the whole time. It was constant metaphors and similies that didn't help the situation, it just added confusion. The plot was good, the characters were excellent but the writing was the hard part. I'd watch the movie but skip the book.

i was thoroughly grossed out but not as freaked out as i had hoped to be. i have a fear of deep water and i was looking to get scared about the vast aspect of the ocean, but the angle was more toward the suffocation of the trieste. not scary, just gory.

looooved the villains being so otherworldly that they didn't have a concept of pity. play with your food and see it it bites back, amiright

not as good as the troop by a long shot, but still kind of enjoyable! definitely read this one before the troop.

This one was pretty standard for me.

I liked the setting. It was claustrophobic and did have some horrifying moments.

I just found myself not really interested in picking it up a lot of the time.

I can’t put my finger on exactly what made this less interesting to me. I just know I was not excited by it. I did think there was a lot of waste in this book. We had a lot of chase scenes in this book which were just repeats of each other and didn’t give anything new.
