I love love love erasure poetry, especially when it comes from the iconic YA novels of the 2000s-2010s. With these novels pared down, I get a glimpse of teenage desperation when it comes to being horny, unable to attend to our hormones appropriately, and learning what our bodies like—and don’t like. What is pleasure vs pain. Fantastic chapbook.

I don't read a lot of erasure poetry, but I really enjoyed this. Especially something sexy made out of the pages of books I also read as a teen.

The photography, along with the poems really paints a picture that obscures the idea of "is it ecstasy or pain?" Because simply, why not both?

A hard to put down read and photography that will really make you stare for a while. Just don't read this one at work lol.
