I feels like it deserve more than a 4.5, but not quite a 5 (for me) and don't get me wrong I love this so much!! Sal and Kulti is PERFECT and nothing in this book is flawed. the reason this book doesn't a 5 stars is because i like other book (also by MZ) better than this one.
To nobody's surprise, I like this book, enjoyed it so much, just like the other MZ books I've read. The banter is good, arguments are good, and I LOVE the characters as well as their relationship. Especially Sal and her dad's relationship, it was just so wholesome!
To be honest, I could really get into the book at the beginning. IT WAS SO SLOW, like WAY slower than other MZ book. But once I read more into the book, I got hooked real fast. Then I couldn't stop reading.

Not my favourite MZ book but definitely enjoyed it very much! Nobody can do slow burn like MZ, nailed it every time.
My only issue with the book is how DUI is downplayed. When Sal confirmed that Kulti’s license was suspended due to DUI and she said and I quote: “People made mistakes all the time. He had a right to make them as much as the next person.”, it just does not sit well with me. Yes, no one got hurt, but someone could. I feel like DUI is treated as some petty crimes when it could literally kill an innocent person, a family, any road user. That is so irresponsible and I wish that was stressed more and Kulti showed more remorse or Sal had reprimanded it seriously instead of brushing it off and making excuses for him.
My only issue with the book is how DUI is downplayed.
