omfg so much happened, so calaena is fae slay, of course coulda seen that coming, dorian has magic, chaol is a hottie and a baddie and a lover boy (love him), the king is a bitch as per usual and has at least one wyrdkey, i keep getting deja vu about that damn black obsidian ring and idk what book it is that also has an evil king that has a black ring and mysterious mind like power it’s driving me insane, but love calaena, rip nehemia but of course she did it for the plot! gotta encourage the calaena character growth, ok so i did know that calaena was actually aelin um that is the biggest spoiler i know didn’t realize it was gonna take until book two to get there, crazy, but i am so excited for her to become aelin (accept herself as aelin) and be a badass queen, lowkey love that chaol knows he seems like a good guy that even though he’s like omg she is the biggest threat he’ll come around and support her and they can all create that honorable court nehemia dreamed about with dorian as king, so like are dorian and and calaena fated to be together because she sees elena and he sees gavin and they were power couple number 1, her literally opening a portal ok insane and then that creepy creature but it was a great way to show that she is fae, ok flame powers, let’s bring back magic bitches! the sisters or old fae queens whatever they’re called all starting with the letter m is funny like calaena being related to mab and then there’s maeve where she’s literally going to her kingdom (we better see her next book) and the third that i forgot, very exciting for the next book absolutely loving it, was lowkey shocked that arobynn wasn’t in this book but can’t wait for their reunion (it better end with him died dead), love chaol but also bro are you fr you have seen her kill how many people and go batshit crazy and decide to send her away forcing you to go home to dear old dad and not be the captain anymore wtf, hope dorian figures out his magic soon cuz raw power is crazy

Really liked where the story is moving and how the characters are developing. Especially grateful i read Assasins Blade before this, I think it made a big difference to my understanding of Celaena.
Only complaint was that I made every connection as new information was introduced, usually about 4 pages before the fools living it.. but what can you do
