Rose Hathaway is a seventeen year old dhampir (half-human, half-vampire) who is her best friend Lissa's self-appointed guardian; sworn to protect her from Strigoi (vampires who have turned bad). They share a type of soul bond where Rose can feel everything Lissa is feeling, which makes her a good bodyguard once animals start to show up dead around Lissa and enemies seem to lurk around every corner.
Rose Hathaway is by far my favroite character. I live for her sarcastic attitude and flirtatious, witty remarks. She is what made this book so lively and interesting. And her chemistry with Demetri was *chefs kiss*

✨I’ll try my hardest to review this one, because it SO deserves it, but if I don’t, just know that this was such a fun read with a great plot and fantastic characters. But most of all, it was a story about female FRIENDSHIP above all else, and that’s what set it apart. Definitely five stars!!!!! ✨
