Fans of The Hunger Games and Avatar: The Last Airbender will devour this tale of overcoming oppression and self love and acceptance.

I really wanted to like/finish this book because of some of the things i heard about the book/know about it (like found family, space and queer themes). but its a bit slow and i haven't really been feeling it. and maybe i just need to stop trying to read YA books since I think i've outgrown them personally. Nothing wrong with the book, just haven't been wanting to dive back into it (and have even started/finished other books instead of reading this one)

this is the coolest premise ever and it’s GAY i wish i liked it

Y'all know I don't really do coherent/cohesive reviews. All vibes, no brains, friends. πŸ’œ

Holy f*cking sh!t. What an incredible experience.

This is a YA fantasy (sci-fi vibes?). The world building and magic system are impressive af. The magic is based on astrological signs!

This epic tale features a reluctant hero, lots of queer side characters inside a moon with a society that doesn't bat an eye at being queer, some cute squishy romance, and some bad ass battles.

Get ready to mfing reflect because this story speaks a lot to the social injustices of our world today.

The audiobook is amazing, so if you can get it, I absolutely recommend it!

Craig. I am begging you for book 2. πŸ™

A beautifully queernorm SciFi Romance that will tug on your heartstrings. The world is richly imagined where astrology governs both class status and the magic system. The exploration on sexuality and political strife was so interesting. I did wish for a deeper exploration on emotions and character - as sometimes things moved on far too conveniently and quickly. It was also very instalovey. I do think certain paragraphs felt a little out of place in the story but overall a touching and well done debut.
