An easy read length wise, more difficult context wise. It’s very interesting/educational in regards to the climbing aspect. I learned quite a bit and Michael Wejchert’s writing is pretty engaging. The fateful climb, the accident, and the rescue had me on the edge of my seat. I struggled a little every time the author left the “main story” to write about his own experiences or someone else’s. They were all good stories on their own, I just think it distracted from the central story.

Well written book that centers on a specific climbing fall in Alaska, but pulls in other accidents and the mindset of the climbing community.
