I can't believe they had Orion killed. I liked that character. Wow some of the characters are getting fanatic.

After such a great book one and two, this one is almost like a breather. It is the epitome of the middle child book. It continues the story very well but did not have as much depth as the first.
First, if you have not read the first two, those must be read in order! This story, and the characters will make absolutely no sense without the book being read in order.
I am really happy with the character arcs. I do not want to spoil but I was shocked, multiple times, by the actions of certain characters. Some good, some not so much! And there are those characters who still have yet to reveal where their true allegiances lie.
Throughout, Maya and Lord Toric have remained strong. Maya has gone through even more, if that is even possible, but she is just as stubborn, maybe even more so.
In short: Do not expect quite as much as the first two books but still get ready to be on the edge of your seat.
Waiting to hear when book four is coming out! I will definitely buy that the second it publishes!
